Episode #3 February 2021

Sandra Benbeniste

Is it possible to work together to create a more sustainable future, not just globally but also locally?
In todays episode, Jo Youle goes to meet Ibiza Preservation director, Sandra Benbeniste at her home in Santa Gertrudis along with her cats Betty and Pumba, to find out more about the kind of work being done on the island to not only protect the ecosystems, but also to take a look at what can still be done as a community to implement positive change. So much work is underway on Ibiza to heal the soil & encourage people to get together and co-create, which made for an inspiring conversation with Sandra. As someone responsible for shutting down huge capitalist oil companies off the shore of the white island, Sandra’s activism highlights through her work with Mar Blava, that if we go together, we are stronger and collectively more powerful and longer lasting results can be achieved, when we all get on board.
